Reflecting on the Newsletter you created, consider how students would be able to use Word to "construct meaning" for the specific standards your newsletter assignment addressed. Your reflection should mention the specific standards you covered with your newsletter activity.
When i was working on the newsletter i was demonstrating how i wanted my students to do it. My teaching goal is to have all the students understand what they learned and to show me by as a class to do the newsletter. I want to split the class in half and have one half work with me and the other half with a student teacher. I would do this because my teaching level is for first grade students and they will need some help with the computer. The indicators are to 1.understand the meaning of new words from context of conversations. The use of pictures that accompany text or the use of concrete objects. 2. Recognize and demonstrate an understanding of enviromental print. 3.Name items in common categories. 4. Demonstrate or orally communicate position and directional words.5. Determine the meaning of unknown words with assistance or cues from an adult.

I do agree with the comment to splitting the students in half. It makes life easier for you and the students. It also gives the students more attention because of the small number.
Amanda,
You do a fine job of explaining the standards and what you were trying to accomplish. After doing the assignment, what did you learn? How would you change your approach, if at all? - Chris
